Programme and methodological approach
The Course is a 3 month programme of work, which enables participants to learn directly from the experience of others and improve their partnership skills.
The course makes use of several different approaches and methods to learning, including:
- Practical theory - inputs from experienced practitioners presenting frameworks, operating principles and good partnership practice;
- Experiential learning – using role play, project visits, games and more to deepen insights and challenge assumptions;
- Action research –using the experiences of the group to build new knowledge about partnerships in practice;
- Skills development - strengthening essential partnership skills, e.g. facilitation, interest based negotiation, collaborative planning, relationship management and more
- Reflection - creating structured opportunities for each individual to develop capacity to reflect on their professional competencies and performance
- Tutoring – individual and group work supported by an experienced partnership practitioner, who provides guidance as needed.
